| This is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. I've decided to listen to my dorky side, if you will, and do a quick post on the new video game systems.
Sony Playstation 3. Get a life, people. It came out today, and already: a man has been shot because he wouldnt give up money for his system, a group of campers were robbed at gunpoint, customers have been shot with BB guns for their reserve ticket, pepper balls were used on several unruly crowds, batons were used on crowds, and 2 gunmen robbed a Gamestop for several PS3 units and Xbox360 units.
WHAT THE HELL PEOPLE.
Do you have no life? Or my take on it, is that people are in on it for the profit. After all, last night Playstation 3 tickets were selling for upwards of $6,000.00. Yup.
I honestly don't understand, people. What's the big deal? IT'S THE FIRST GENERATION OF THE SYSTEM. Congratulations, you have a unit that's bound to die in a few short weeks. Don't believe me? Does anyone have a first gen PS2? Maybe a few of you do, but I doubt it, because the lasers died on them within weeks.
It's Sony, people. What did you expect? Customer satisfaction? Don't make me laugh. XD
And besides, personally I won't get one. Ever, I'm pretty sure. Why? Not because of the system. It's a nice system after a few releases, I won't lie. It's the games. You all want a Playstation 3? I'll show you how. Ready?
Go into your PS2 game cabinet, or wherever you keep your games. Take out every game, and imagine a sequel to it. Picture it with a little better graphics.
Congrats, you now have the Playstation 3 and every game to ever come out on it. Yes, now you, yes you, can play Final Fantasy XXXXXIV.
Personally, I think it's a huge waste of money. But hey, I could be wrong.
And plus, if this thing fails, I'm going to laugh. Very, very hard. Because Sony, yet again has failed to take out Nintendo. Because hell, let's take a look at something.
Gamecube. Not going to lie, I wasn't a fan. It dropped to $99.00 pretty quickly. It has a few solid titles, though. And around then, they also had Nintendo DS. Pretty popular, despite it's hideous design.
And then there is Sony. PS2 has some pretty solid titles, no doubt. But they just can't compete with Nintendo in the video game market. Everyday Nintendo gaming units outsell Sony gaming units 6:1. 6:1, folks.
And oh, that's also including the 'revolutionary' PSP.
...
I'm done.
EDIT!: Aaaaaand many, many people are already having troubles because their PS3 doesn't recognize that there is a game or dvd or blu ray disk in the system. Also, many PS3's have locked their users out with a black screen of death, systems have shutdown and are unable to restart.
I love first gen systems from Sony.

| I decided not to close it down, again. Too many things to talk about. Oh, and I had an alternate title for this xanga. I think it's pretty genious, and a few friends would agree with me. So, yeah, here it is:
I hate Mr. Crowell.
Kinda catchy, eh? Speaks the truth, speaks to your heart? I'm serious.
I have never had a worse teacher. And people, I had Mr. Viola. Love the man, but not a very good teacher. No no, The Crow is not only a bad teacher, but a prick.
I think one of my biggest problems with him is that he expects you to know physics before even entering his classroom. You don't know the complicated version of a velocity formula, but I JUST admitted to not teaching you it?
Okay, you get that question wrong.
Anyone see anything wrong with this? Anyone. Oh, everyone? Thought so.
And he doesn't teach you anything. At all. And when he tries, it's some half assed explanation that contradicts what he "taught" us 20 minutes ago.
He'll call on students, and when they don't know the answer, he'll start a scene. "Oh, you don't know? This is not good, not good at all. Guess we'll have to start the unit all over again. Anyone else want to raise their hand?"
I swear, the man wonders why NOBODY raises their hands in his class. Why would you want to? If you answer right, good for you, but if you don't, kiss your confidence goodbye.
In conclusion... Well, I think you all know the conclusion.
| Wow, I have a xanga. Forgot it existed. Basically this xanga is dead. So yeah. =) I'll start a new one when I begin my adventures at college in a year, but for now, seeya everyone. -J | | |
| AWESOME my diddy kong racing score was just verified:
Dear Mr. Pack,
Sorry for the delays (due to my tape queue), but I've finally got your attempt for Diddy Kong Racing (N64) Ancient Temple - Fastest Lap verfied.
Your time of 0:13.78 places you in first place in the standings, meaning that you've secured a World Record... HOWEVER, since your tape doesn't completely comply with TG rules, there is good chance of somebody successfully challenging your time. You are welcomed to break your own time, but I'd like to give you a few tips in future attempts.
1) Go with direct video feeds when possible. Play the game through your VCR (or DVD-recorder) instead of using a video camera.
2) Start recording 5 seconds BEFORE the system is turned on & keep recording at least 5-15 seconds after the end of the attempt. This is to ensure that no game enchancement devices (Game Genie, Game Shark, Action Replay, ect.) were used.
3) If you're getting near the end of a tape & you've not completed your run (like the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time), you must pause the game for 15 seconds prior to the tape switch & record on the next tape for 15 seconds before resuming. The time used to make the tape switches will be removed from your overall time.
Since you're under 18 at the time of the attempt, I will be sending a letter to Lisa Pack in reguards to your attempt as Twin Galaxies tries to keep the parents informed on such matters.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Sincerely, Tim Stodden (TStodden) Ref @ Large - Official TG BEMANI, N64 & GCN Ref

I'm really happy, haha. I love that game.
| Man, ever not been able to fall asleep around 4:00, 4:30 AM? If you live near or in town, take your bike around town. It's so great. I didn't see more than two cars until 5:00, in which I saw like, 5.
You feel like you own the town, man.
You can ride anywhere, hit any jump, manual any parking lot.
It's really a great feeling, and it really relaxed me.
